Filmmaker Sudha Kongara and actor Sivakarthikeyan also announced their film having a similar title. This has sent shockwaves in the industry, with many alleging that the name was used without proper authorization by the latter.

It seems the Sudha Kongara and Sivakarthikeyan’s title reveal did not go well with Vijay Antony, as he took to his social media claiming that he has the rights to the ‘Parashakti’ (Telugu) title.

In the post, Vijay highlighted that the right to the title was secured by him on July 22, 2024. The post has garnered massive attention with insiders and netizens lending support to Vijay Antony.

Another post by the #SK25 producers claimed that they have secured the rights of Parashakti. This has caused significant confusion within the industry, with officials working to resolve the controversy.

#SK25 is one of the most anticipated movies in Kollywood and audiences are eager to watch another cinematic spectacle by Sudha Kongara after Soorarai Pottru. Reportedly, the movie talks about the Hindi opposition and its consequences. Initially titled ‘Purananooru’, the movie was offered to Suriya and then to Dulquer Salmaan.

However, both the stars preferred to ‘let go’ the project due to its strong ‘anti-Hindi’ theme. Insiders suggest that these actors believed that this movie would have a strong consequence for their future projects, especially in Hindi belt.

Backed by Aakash Baskaran under the banner Dawn Pictures, the movie stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Sreeleela and Atharva Murali in key roles. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the music will be composed by GV Prakash. The makers are planned to release the movie in the second half of 2025.
