'Thala for a reason', this is a trend that fans of star cricketer M S Dhoni had started. 'Thala', which is a Tamil word meaning leader, is given to the former Chennai Super Kings captain for his captaincy skills.
Now 'Thala' fans have got to see a new look of him in a recent advertisement where Dhoni mimicks Ranbir Kapoor's role in Animal.
The ad is shot for EMotorad, an electric cycle brand, that also stars the direct of Animal, Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Shared on X by Vanga, the caption read, "Animal For A Reason".
The video starts off with a grand entry of Dhoni as he gets down from car; instead of carrying the gun, he carries an electric bike with him, recreating a scene from the movie.
'Cut', director Vanga says, and appreciates Dhoni for the shot.
"Mind-blowing, fantastic, maza aa gaya sir. Log seetiyan marenge bilkul," Vanga says.
To this Dhoni says, "Sunayi de raha hai mujhe, behra nahi hoon mai," a dialogue from the movie.
"Ab hua na mera hero ready, (now my hearo is ready)", Vanga remarks.
In the end 'Thala' can be seen recreating Ranbir Kapoor's final shot in the film and ends with a title on screen, "The Film With Sandeep Reddy Vanga".
The post has garnered over 800k views with a flurry of comments where many fans seem impressed with Dhoni's performance.

EMotorad is an electric vehicle company that sells e-bikes for adventure seekers, daily commuters or casual riders, as noted in their website.
Previously too Dhoni caught netizens' attention in an advertisement for EMotorad where he sang "bole jo koyal" song.
