Rocking star Yash, who previously confirmed his pivotal role in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, is all set to join the film’s shoot in March. Not just as an actor, Yash is also co-producing the magnum opus, ensuring his creative influence extends beyond just his performance.
As per the sources, it is revealed that Yash was introduced to Ramayana by Namit Malhotra while discussing other projects, eventually leading to his deep involvement in the film. Interestingly, he became the first lead actor to officially announce his role, even as speculations continue around Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi’s participation.
However, with Yash’s confirmation and his dual role as an actor-producer, the magnum opus Ramayana has become a highly anticipated film. KGF star's involvement promises to bring star power and creative depth to this grand retelling of the epic.
Yash revealed that he came on board for this project after deep discussions with Namit Malhotra of DNEG and Prime Focus, as their shared vision for the film inspired him to take up the role. He was so invested in the project that he also chose to co-produce it. “The character is incredibly intriguing. There’s great scope to present it in a fresh way,” Yash said.
Helmed by Nitish Tiwari, Ramayana, an epic drama, is a two-part film that will be released on Diwali in 2026 and 2027. The movie will feature Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, with pre-production already in full swing.
