In a surprising and exciting collaboration, English pop star Ed Sheeran is all set to join hands with singing sensation Arijit Singh for an upcoming album. Sheeran confirmed the news in a recent interview, where he also shared his thoughts on working with the celebrated Bollywood icon.
While speaking to Heart in a recent interview, Ed Sheeran revealed that Indian singer Arijit Singh will be part of the new release in his upcoming album.
He said, “I worked a lot with this Indian singer Arijit Singh who is really good and really wonderful. He basically lives in the middle of nowhere in India. It is like a 3-hour flight and 5 and half-hour drive. I was in India with my dad. He (Arijit) was like, if you want the vocals, you would have to come to me."
Ed Sheeran shares a warm friendship with Arijit Singh, and during his Mathematics tour, he even took a ride on Arijit’s two-wheeler in his hometown, Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal.
The two artists, became close after performing together in London in September 2024, where they sang each other’s chartbusters.
