Yakub Memon may have been hanged, but more than 12 co-conspirators, including Pakistan-based mafia don and terrorist Dawood Ibrahim and Tiger Memon, are still wanted in the case.
According to CBI and TADA court records, many of the 12 wanted in the case stay in Pakistan or shuttle between Pakistan and Gulf countries. Most of them are engaged in some or the other business, mainly construction. They are in the watch list of Interpol.
Besides Dawood Ibrahim, the most-wanted is Mustaq alias Ibrahim alias Tiger Abdul Razzak Memon, who, with the blessings of Dawood, planned and executed the serial blasts.
Four members of the Memon family — Tiger and his wife Shabana Memon, Tiger’s brother Ayub Memon and his wife Reshma Memon – are wanted.
Others are Javed alias Javed Chikna Dawood Tailor, Anwar Ahmed Haji Jamal Theba, Mohammed Shafi Memon alias Jariwala, Mohammed Tainur Mohammed Hayat Phansopkar alias Samil Mujahid, Yakub Khan alias Yeda Yakub Wali Mohammed Khan, Irfan Ahmed Gulzar Chougale, Khan Bashir Ahmed Ainul Haq Khan, Mohammed Ahmed Dossa, Munaf Abdul Majid Halari, Nasir Ahamed Anwar Shaikh alias Babloo, Taher Taklya, Feroze Abdul Rashid Khan, Kamarbhai, Latif Noor Mohammed, Mohammed Liyaqat Khan, Mobin, Sabhir Sayed Ismail Qadri, Shamshad, Saleem Abdul Gani Gazi, Mohammed Farooq, Taufique Siddiqui Zariwala and Sayed Arif, are still wanted.
