Two minor boys were thrashed for plucking Jamuns (black plums) from a tree in an Ambala orchard on Saturday.

The 12-year-old minors, identified as Sachin and Abhishek, are being treated at the general hospital in Ambala.

Sachin is being treated for a broken nose while Abhishek has sustained a head injury, sources said.

The incident comes close on the heels of the tragic incident in Bihar, where a minor boy was shot dead for plucking mangoes.

The caretaker of the orchard got infuriated on seeing the boys plucking Jamuns.

He then caught hold of the two and started beating them with a stick.

According to reports, the boys feel unconscious upon being beaten.

The police are yet to take cognizance of the incident.
