National Investigation Agency sources told Deccan Herald that Hafeez Husain alias Adnan and Abdul Sami alias Mohammed Sami Bagevadi, both from Bijapur, were wanted by the Bangalore police in the serial blasts case. The NIA on Thursday filed the chargesheet in the Vagamon SIMI camp case before the Ernakulam CBI Special Court which also deals with NIA cases.

Out of the 30 persons accused by the agency of waging war against the nation, nine each belong to Gujarat and Karnataka, seven belong to Madhya Pradesh, four to Kerala and one from UP.

Seven more activists who also attended the camp have been absconding. Currently, 29 of the 30 accused are lodged in the Sabarmati  central jail in Ahmedabad in connection with various cases.  The sources said that it was the arrest of two people made by Bangalore police in 2008 that paved the way for the unravelling of the various camps including the one held at Vagamon.

The NIA has found that the camp was the last of the four training camps organised by the SIMI for planning the Ahmedabad and Surat blasts. However, the sources claimed that the Bangalore blasts were carried out by a different group though two of the Vagamon campers were also involved. At the camp, the participants were trained in handling guns, petrol bombs, bike racing, rope climbing and swimming.
