The TDP leader was done to death at the party office in Anantapur in 2005. The cold blooded murder inspired film director Ramgopal Varma to make ‘Rakta Charitra’ in Hindi and Telugu languages .
The court upheld the charges against the accused Panduga Narayana Reddy, Hanumantha Reddy, Peddi Reddy, Obie Reddy, Vadde Srinu, Vadde Konda, Rekhamaiah and Ranganayakulu and sentenced all the accused to life imprisonment.
GV Reddy, Ananda Reddy, Ramaswamy and Patlolla Govardhana Reddy were acquitted due to lack of evidence.
