The Bihar Police on Monday arrested eight people after a pro-Pakistani video song went viral in Rohtas district.

This objectionable song, Hum Pakistani Mujahid, dharti ke hain rakhwale....., was sung by a group of persons during a programme organised at Nasrignaj in Sasaram to celebrate Eid on June 16.

After the video went viral, the Rohtas Police swung into action and registered an FIR at Nasriganj police station against three named accused and 20 unidentified people.

Soon thereafter, the police arrested eight people, including Raza Khan, DJ player Aashish Kumar, driver Mukesh and five others.

Raids are on to identify and apprehend others.

Rohtas SP Satyaveeer Singh said the video has been sent to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Patna to verify its authenticity.

"We will be able to throw more light on this issue after proper investigation," the SP said.

Since some of those arrested are in the age group of 15 to 17, they have been sent to Juvenile Justice Board.

Others were remanded to judicial custody.
