In an amusing turn of events, chess legend and former World Champion Viswanathan Anand faced online ridicule after he appeared to directly copy paste a script message wishing PM Narendra Modi and posted it on X along with the hashtag #MYMODISTORY .
The message, originally shared with him, apparently, contained a line addressing him as “Viswanathan Anand Ji”, a sign of a pre-prepared promotional or political message.

Anand, seemingly unaware, posted the message as it was, including the unintended self-reference. Shortly after realizing the mistake, he deleted the post and reposted it without the “Viswanathan Anand Ji” line.
The incident quickly went viral, with social media users pointing out how public figures often rely on pre-prepared political messages. Critics questioned the authenticity of such endorsements, suggesting that prominent personalities are being used as mouthpieces for political messaging without personal input.
