AAP finds it tough to get good candidates

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is finding it difficult to find ‘eligible’ candidates of their choice for the Lok Sabha polls. Except for Maharashtra, the party could not manage to device an effective formula to select “good candidates” in states.

The selection process has generated so much of discontent among party workers that the leadership is dismayed over it. “The party has received high number of applications and it is also from quality people. However, most of them do not seem to be equipped enough to steer through the complex process of electioneering,” said an AAP leader.

According to party sources, a number of highly qualified people from the bureaucracy and academics has applied but they hardly have any experience of social service or politics.

The party is ready to accommodate those who have done some work which have attracted people.
