Swaraj Abhiyan leaders on Monday grabbed an opportunity to slam Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over an incident in which AAP MP Bhagwat Singh Mann was found to be drunk during a religious ceremony in Punjab.

Abhiyan leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan claimed that Kejriwal knew about Mann’s habit and this is why the MP was not made leader of parliamentary party. They said that the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) was aware of the MP’s habit.

Yadav has quoted Kejriwal saying that Mann comes to Parliament drunk.
The MP from Sangrur in Punjab reached a Bhog ceremony in Bargari (Kotkapura) in a  drunken state and he was asked to leave the stage where Guru Granth Sahib Prakash had been done.

Abhiyan leader Bhushan was present in the ceremony.

“At a time when Punjab is on the boil and instances of disrespect to the Guru Granth Sahib have come to the fore, Aam Aadmi Party MP from Sangrur, Bhagwant Mann was found to be drunk when he reached the Bhog ceremony at Bargari (Kotkapura), said a Swaraj Abhiyan press release.
