In yet another suspected case of mobile addiction, a 17-year-old girl was found hanging near Kallambalam in the suburbs of Thiruvananthapuram Saturday.

A note recovered by the police from her room stated that she got addicted to mobile phone music and was unable to concentrate on her studies. Depression over poor performance in recent exams could have prompted her to take the extreme step.

A higher secondary student, Jeeva Mohan, daughter of Jayamohan and Sreeja, was found hanging in her house. Police said that the note recovered from the spot mentioned mobile phone addiction. She was found to be frequently accessing foreign music concerts of Korean band troupes. She had also mentioned it to her family members earlier. Further probe was being initiated.
