Bengaluru: Ministry of Defence signed a Transfer of Technology (ToT) with HHV Thermal Technologies (HHVTT), on February 13 at the Aero India 2025, enabling HHVTT to manufacture essential components for the BrahMos missile system.

The technology transfer includes critical components such as Carbon-Silicon Carbide (C-SiC) throats, Jet Vanes, and Microwave Absorbing Structures for the BrahMos missile system.

These advanced materials are vital for missile guidance, propulsion, and stealth capabilities. With the ToT in effect and HHVTT already having undergone the necessary training in the manufacturing process, the company is poised to supply critical thermal components to various Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) centers involved in missile production.

"This step marks a major stride towards strengthening India’s self-reliance in defence manufacturing under the 'Make in India' initiative. To accommodate the production of these advanced components, HHVTT is looking at expanding its existing manufacturing facilities," HHVTT said in a statement.
