Madhya Pradesh opposition leader Ajay Singh today filed an FIR against state unit BJP president Prabhat Jha and two other party leaders for allegedly submitting "forged" documents with the State Commission for SC and ST in connection with a complaint filed against him.
Ajay Singh said that Jha, along with former MP Nand Kumar Singh Chouhan and Kunwar Singh, filed fake documents pertaining to land belonging to tribals in his Churhat constituency.
Jha had on April 12 lodged a complaint with the Commission against Ajay, saying that the latter grabbed land owned by tribals in his native place Churhat.
Jha also alleged that he had documentary evidence to prove that Ajay's kin were possessing government land.
Ajay has slapped sections 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 467 (forgery of valuable security) and 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) among other sections of the Indian Penal Code in his complaint filed with Shyamala Hills police station, a statement said.
Ajay said he would also file a defamation suit against Jha and others in court.
"The documents filed by Jha and others are devoid of facts," Ajay said in a statement.
