A woman in UP’s Shahjahanpur was forced to carry the body of her child home as hospital authorities did not provide her with ambulances.

The child was reportedly taken to the hospital as he was suffering from high fever.

"The doctors told us to take him elsewhere for treatment. We asked them for a vehicle but they refused. There were three ambulances parked in the premises." the father of the child told ANI.

The parents of the child did not have any money and hence began walking home with the body of the child. However, hospital authorities denied the account of the parents.

As the parents of the deceased had no money, they began walking carrying their child.

"A child named Afroz came to the hospital at 8:10 pm. His condition was not well, so we directed the parents to take him to Lucknow for special treatment. They scoffed saying they will take him wherever they wish and left with the kid,” Anurag Parashar, the Emergency Medical Officer told ANI.
