Ahead of the polls, the Bhartiya Janta Party chief Amit Shah lauded contributions of Vasundhara Raje and indirectly refuted rumours which suggested that state and centre BJP leadership is not being on the same page. Shah was addressing youth at an event in the state capital.

Shah said, "She (Vasundhara Raje), has done good governance in Rajasthan and brought development to the entire state and schemes as well. Rajasthan has flourished under her."

According to the political observers, Shah's speech is seen as saffron party's strategy to show that all is well between centre leadership and Raje. Earlier when Amit Shah and Raje did separate rallies, it did give out a message that both are not on the same page.

The party chief addressed youths at a private school in Jaipur in 'Yuva ki baat, Amit Shah ke saath' programme. He answered questions on national and international issues during the two-hour event. He replied to the questions from the youth attending the programme and from six centres of Ajmer, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Kota and Udaipur in a two-way communication.

Shah later went to Bikaner where he kicked off a roadshow in support of BJP nominees Siddhi Kumari and Gopal Joshi from MM Ground and it culminates at Junagarh covering various areas.
