Hyderabad: A first-year intermediate student had committed suicide by jumping off from the third floor of the private college building he was studying on Thursday morning in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district. The incident was captured on CCTV camera.

The student has been identified as Charan, 16, belonging to Ramapuram village in the Bathenahalli mandal of Sri Satya Sai district, and he returned to college only on Thursday morning after Sankranthi vacation.

While the class was underway, Charan was seen walking out of the classroom and then suddenly jumped from the third floor. The incident had shocked the fellow students, and it was captured on the CCTV cameras.

Anantapur rural DSP T Venkateswarlu said they have registered a case and are looking at the reasons for his suicide. After he jumped from the third floor, Charan was immediately shifted to a local hospital where the doctors said he was brought dead.
