The blaze, triggered by a powerful explosion, claimed six lives and left eight others severely injured.

According to preliminary reports, around 15 workers were inside the unit when the fire erupted. The flames spread rapidly, trapping several employees and making escape difficult. Government suspect the accident may have been caused by non-compliance with safety protocols.

Fire tenders and emergency teams rushed to the scene to contain the blaze and carry out rescue operations. The injured were immediately taken to a hospital in Rajamahendravaram for advanced medical treatment. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire and explosion.

The tragedy has plunged Komaripalem and surrounding areas into grief, with families mourning the sudden loss of their loved ones.

Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu took to his X account and assured medical aid will be provided to the injured.

"A fire accident at the Bana Sancha manufacturing center in Rayavaram, Konaseema district, has caused a stir. The loss of several lives in this tragic accident has caused immense grief. I spoke with officials about the causes of the accident, the current situation, relief measures, and medical assistance," the CM wrote.

"I have instructed senior officials to visit the incident site personally and participate in relief efforts. I have advised that better medical aid be provided to the injured. We stand with the affected families," the post further read.
