On an Instagram reel captioned “14 months together and ready for a BIG new chapter,” Jaclyn, a photographer, documented their journey. The video consists of snippets of them on video call and also includes clips of the first time they met in person.

While responding to the comments, Jaclyn revealed that she is nine years older than Chandan, her lover. The bio of their joint YouTube channel says “A divorced Christian mother struggling to find love centered on faith meets a younger man on Instagram living in a remote village in Andhra Pradesh. With a vast list of breaking cultural norms like age, culture, race, and financial status, the story of Jackie and Chandhan shows that a man with nothing by the world's standards has everything to offer when the cry of one woman's heart was for a man after God's own heart,” and gives us a glimpse of their love story.

The couple is now applying for Chandan’s visa in the US to start their lives together. They also plan to tie the knot in the near future. “The odds were stacked against us, but God has been miraculously opening doors and providing for us each step of the way.” Jaclyn stated near the end of the video.

Jaclyn also said that people have often been judgmental of their love story and claimed to have received all kinds of reactions ranging from supportive to rude to awkwardly silent.

On social media, the couple received immense support, with many netizens wishing them good luck for their future. A person commented “Very similar to our story. We met here on Instagram. Seven months later, I was flying to India to marry him! That was 3 1/2 years ago, and he just arrived in the US last April! It’s a crazy journey but so worth it.” Another joked that “As a professional hater, can't hate this… too cute.”
