Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday thanked the people of the state after it entered the Guinness World Records for hosting the world’s largest yoga session in Visakhapatnam on International Yoga Day.

Lakhs of people, including Navy personnel aboard warships, participated in International Yoga Day celebrations on June 21 along RK Beach in Vizag which was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“This achievement belongs to every people of Andhra Pradesh. I thank each and every one of you who made this possible,” said Naidu in a post on X, replying to Guinness World Records.

The CM said the enthusiasm and dedication displayed by the participants was inspiring and added that the record reflects what can be achieved through unity and purpose. Guinness World records said the event was organized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, showcasing the state’s commitment to wellness and traditional practices on a global platform.

"Today an incredible 300,105 participants took part in the largest yoga lesson ever, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India - organised by Gov. of Andhra Pradesh to celebrate International Day of Yoga," said Guinness World Records in the post on X.
