"The Government of Andhra Pradesh has swiftly reached out to over 100 NRIs in Iran and is continuously monitoring the evolving situation," said Srinivas in a post on X late on Tuesday.

He said a 24x7 control room is actively assessing developments and taking all necessary precautions.

All necessary precautionary and support measures are being taken in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs, he said.

Further, he appealed to NRIs to stay updated through official Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRTS) channels.

The government stands committed to the safety and welfare of every Andhra Pradesh NRI, Srinivas added.
