Anti-terrorist body chief held for rape

Viresh Shandilaya, who was arrested yesterday in Delhi, was today produced before a CJM court here, which remanded him in 14-day judicial custody.

After arresting Shandilaya, Delhi Police informed its the Ambala counterpart which brought him in the city last night.

"A rape case was pending against Shandilaya in Baldevnagar police station in Ambala and a local court had issued an arrest warrant against him. The Ambala police had been looking for him for the past few days," DCP Shashank Anand told reporters here.

A woman hailing from Punjab had filed a police complaint alleging that she was raped by Shandilaya, who had promised her a job.
