Army checks preparedness of WB's Panagarh military base

As the strife between India and Pakistan are soaring, the head of Army's Eastern Command Lieutenant General Manoj Mukund Naravane on Wednesday visited West Bengal's Panagarh military base to review its operational preparedness.

"The Army Commander reviewed the security situation and operational preparedness of the formation. He emphasized the need for remaining ready at all times to meet the emerging security challenges," stated a release issued by the Defence Ministry.

It also said that Naravane, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief was received at the Panagarh base by Lieutenant General P N Rao, the General Officer Commanding of the Brahamstra Corps.

"The Corps which was raised at Ranchi will soon shortly be shifting to Panagarh," stated the release.
