Shivamogga: Assam Industries and Commerce Minister Bimal Bora on Sunday visited the family members of Manjunath Rao, a victim of the Pahalgam terror attack and expressed condolences.

The minister handed over a cheque for Rs 5 lakh to Rao’s wife Pallavi at his house at Vijayanagar in the city.

Speaking to reporters, the Assam minister said that his government, as per the directions of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, has decided to distribute compensation to all 26 victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. He said the Assam government would stand with the bereaved families.

MLC D S Arun and district BJP unit president N K Jagadish accompanied the minister.
