After 40 years, the #AssamGovernment has tabled two reports on the 1983 #NellieMassacre. This has reopened old wounds, especially for the Muslim community in Assam. The killings, which took place in 1983 killed over 2000 people but nobody was convicted. Two reports into the killings were suppressed for 40 years. Now they have been tabled in the Assembly. The #Congress has said that this has been done to "communalise the prevailing situation” in the state.
