MVA meet to finalise seat sharing today

The Maha Vikas Aghadi will conclude its seat sharing talks for the assembly polls by early next week, Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole said on Sunday. Leaders of the MVA, which comprises the Shiv Sena (UBT), Sharad Pawar-led NCP (SP) and the Congress, will meet on September 30 and October 1 to finalise the seat sharing formula, Patole informed reporters.

'Kharge outperformed himself in being absolutely distasteful,' Amit Shah hits back at Cong chief's remarks

Union Minister Amit Shah on Monday, hit back at Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge's remark made during his rally in Jammu and Kashmir.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Shah said, "Yesterday, the Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge Ji has outperformed himself, his leaders and his party in being absolutely distasteful and disgraceful in his speech."

Kharge was taken ill during the rally but resumed his speech after a brief halt and said he won't die before Prime Minister Narendra Modi is removed from power.

Haryana Congress expels 10 leaders for indulging in anti-party activities 

The leaders who have been expelled for six years include, Chitra Sarwara, Satvinder Rana, Kapoor Singh Narwal, Virender Ghoghrian, Somveer Ghasola, Manoj Kosliya, Ajit Guliya, Sharda Rathore, Lalit Nagar, Satveer Bhana.

The war of words over Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge's remarks during a poll rally has intensifies. Several BJP leaders have called the comments that he "won't die before Prime Minister Narendra Modi is removed from power," distasteful and uncalled for.

"Narendra Modi will remain in the hearts of people for thousands of years, no matter who lives or dies," said Union Minister Giriraj Singh.

BJP national spokesperson CR Kesavan said, "Mr Kharge’s personal toxic remark against PM Modi exposes the poison-filled mentality of Congress leadership. His master’s voice is that of (Lok Sabha LoP and Congress MP) Rahul Gandhi who at every opportunity tries to demean and insult the Prime Minister."

Political tourism: CM Saini attacks Rahul Gandhi ahead of 'Haryana Sankalp Yatra'

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini attacked Rahul Gandhi ahead of the second leg of his 'Haryana Sankalp Yatra, and termed it 'political tourism.'

He further told PTI that Congress is a divided house and voters won't let their 'jhooth ki dukan' be set up again in Haryana. At the same time, he denied reports of any infighting in Haryana BJP.

'Bhupinder Hooda looted farmers' land and gave it to Robert Vadra,' alleges Haryana CM Saini

Addressing a poll rally in Kaithal, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini accused Congress of looting farmers' of their lands and giving them to businessman and Priyanka Gandhi's husband Robert Vadra.

"As the polling date is coming closer, support for BJP is increasing. For the first time, I have seen a political party (Congress) releasing its manifesto twice. Bhupinder Hooda looted farmers' land and gave it to him (Robert Vadra). BJP government has done a lot of work for the development of the state," he said.

Congress rally in Kurukshetra 

The Congress party will have a rally later in the day in Kurukshetra. Both Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are expected to attend it. Haryana is going for a single-phase polling on October 5.

In the day's early rally in Ambala, ex Congress chief Rahul Gandhi had taken a dig at the Narendra Modi govt saying the money that keeps flowing into the account of Gautam Adani "like a tsunami" while the common man struggles. Rahul was joined in the rally by his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, senior Congress leaders from Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Kumari Selja.
