A viral video clip of a man trying to steal a life jacket on board a flight shared on X has sparked severe backlash on social media.
The video shared on X shows a vigilant co-passenger asking the person to open his bag to have a look.
The face of both the people are masked.
Though he refused, it was opened and a life jacket was seen inside.
The co-passenger is telling the so-called 'thief' that tampering of airline equipment is a serious offence and says life jackets are for passengers’ safety.
"What are you doing? I’ve been noticing you for a while now. Look at him, he’s stealing a life jacket," the co-passenger is seen telling him in the video, which shared by a user.
The video has triggered a spate of reactions in social media with some calling the co-passenger's act 'brave' it a bold moved while some others users have left comments like, "Stealing a life jacket mid-flight? Bold move, because clearly, survival at sea is a top concern when flying over dry land."
People have also commented about the lack of general civic sense in India.
One user even went to the extent of saying that mandatory civil sense lessons should be taught right early from schools.
