Urging the people to “politically bury” the BJP, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday said that the saffron party is a venomous snake that will strike wherever they can enter.

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo added that if the BJP thinks that they have immobilised her by breaking her leg, they were making a big mistake. She was speaking at a rally in Bankura district. The BJP will not be able to stop her as it has no idea what she is capable of, she added.

"I will continue to work for the people till my last breath," announced Mamata. She added that the BJP was sending “outsider goons” to the state.

At another rally in the district, she alleged that the BJP has hired goons to threaten people and tell them that if they don’t vote for the party they will be thrown out.

"The BJP shamelessly lies before elections. They promise everything but give nothing," said Mamata.

Taking potshots at the BJP for promising 33% reservation for women in government jobs, the TMC supremo said that the party has failed to ensure adequate representation of women among the elected.
