Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said the idea behind his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is to provide justice to people and the party will present a five-point blueprint of 'nyay' that will also help strengthen the country.
At the 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' in Barpeta, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi says, "...He (Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma) is the most corrupt Chief Minister in the country...Whatever is told to you by the media is exactly what Assam CM has conveyed to them...The control of Assam's Chief Minister is in the hands of Amit Shah...If he (Himanta Biswa Sarma) dares to say anything against Amit Shah, he will be thrown out of the party."

The ideology of BJP-RSS has burnt Manipur, but the Prime Minister of the country has not visited Manipur till date. Therefore our 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' started from Manipur and will go till Maharashtra. This country is a country of love. This country will move forward with love. Violence and hatred are not going to benefit anyone.
A day after Guwahati Police filed a case against him and other Congress leaders for allegedly provoking crowd, Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday dared the BJP-ruled state to file "as many cases as they can" but still he will not be intimidated.
Addressing his first public meeting on the 7th day of 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' in Barpeta district, the Congress leader slammed Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and termed him the "most corrupt CM" of the country with a series of allegations related to land and areca nut.
There are 5 pillars of Nyaya Yatra-
1. Youth Justice
2. Participatory Justice
3. Women's Justice
4. Farmer Justice
5. Labor Justice

Congress General Secretary in-charge Communications, Jairam Ramesh says, "Assam CM has lodged FIR against Rahul Gandhi, K C Venugopal, Jitendra Singh, Gaurav Gogoi, Bhupen Borah, Debabrata Saikia, me & other Congress leaders. This is a political FIR and has no connection to reality. Evidence and video are with everybody...We are not going to be scared. This is another threat by the Assam CM. We will face any legal procedure without fear. Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will continue...PM Modi goes around the world and says that India is the Mother of Democracy. But this is not Mother of Democracy but Murder of Democracy."
'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' has given strength to the people amidst the atmosphere of fear and panic spread in Assam. This has been the biggest advantage of this journey. Seeing the fearlessness of Rahul Gandhi ji, the people of Assam have got the strength to fight their battle. We are grateful to Rahul Gandhi ji for giving us the weapon of love in the fight for justice. Tomorrow we will bid him a fond farewell from Assam.
Rahul Gandhi ji listened to the problems of workers, various people, youth and women in Assam. Today, BJP is in power at the Center for 10 years and in Assam for 8 years, but still there are many problems here because BJP is strengthening itself by spreading hatred. Economic inequality is increasing here. The poor are getting poorer, the rich are getting richer.
The Sharad Pawar-led NCP on Wednesday accused Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of creating obstacles in the Congress's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi in his state. "By creating obstacles on every step of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Assam, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma is showing the world just how Brave Rahul Gandhi is and how he is fighting for the betterment of the people of India," Clyde Crasto, spokesperson of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) said on X.
I would like to call Rahul ji 'Son of Assam' and Assam cannot get a better brand ambassador than him," says Gaurav Gogoi while addressing a press meet.
The Yatra will reach West Bengal tomorrow. There will be no Yatra on January 26 and 27 and it will resume from West Bengal on January 28.
"I.N.D.IA bloc is an arrogant and corrupt alliance. On one hand, Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha was happening, and Aatmanirbhar Bharat was being established, and on the other hand, attacks were happening in Assam. Is this their (Congress') 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra'? Their (Congress') reality is now in front of people," says Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
"Whose responsibility is to comfort the people of Manipur? It is the state government's responsibility. But it is Rahul Gandhi who is listening to the locals there...This Yatra strengthens Congress. If Congress is strong, then it strengthens the I.N.D.I.A alliance. BJP can't tolerate a strong I.N.D.I.A alliance. This is the reason (Assam) CM has targeted Rahul Gandhi," says senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot.
This time, we have added the word 'Nyay' to Bharat Jodo Yatra. We want to say that hatred and violence take place only when there is injustice in the country. Now I want to talk about Assam. What kind of justice is happening here? Everyone knows that the country's most corrupt CM is your CM," says Rahul Gandhi while addressing a public gathering in Bilasipara in Assam's Dhubri.
"People said that you held a yatra from Kashmir to Kanyakumari but BJP has been spreading hatred in Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Assam and Odisha. What about that? This is why we have embarked on the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Manipur to Maharashtra," says Rahul Gandhi while addressing a gathering in Assam's Dhubri.
Everyone here knows the most corrupt CM of the nation is the CM of Assam (Himanta Biswa Sarma)... He only spread hate in the state every time... They have been trying to stop our yatra for the past 2-3 days through several ways, but they didn't get the point that Rahul Gandhi is neither afraid of the Assam CM nor Narendra Modi or Amit Shah," Rahul Gandhi adds while addressing a gathering in Dhubri.
"It is not the question of security of Rahul Gandhi, BJP is deliberately creating problems for the Yatra which is against the constitution...Rahul Gandhi's Yatra is to understand the problems of the people of the country and to find solutions. It is the duty of the Govt of India and Assam to give proper security to Rahul Gandhi. He (Assam CM) was in the Congress party before, looks like he's trying to please Amit Shah and his party...Assam govt has failed in security," says Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Violence cannot be ended by violence, violence can only be ended by love. Assam is a state of love and brotherhood," says Rahul as he addresses the crowd in Dhubri.
"This is like old Maharaja rule...If there is a law & order situation, it is the duty of the Police to register an FIR. It is not the duty of the CM to ask Police to file an FIR against an individual. This is clearly a political conspiracy. CM has become the Director General of Police...These tactics to intimidate & threaten Congress party is not going to succeed at all," says Congress general secretary KC Venugopal when quizzed about Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma ordering State Police to register a case against Rahul Gandhi.
