Patna: The Bihar BJP on Wednesday filed a police complaint, alleging that a fake website of the party has been created to defame its leaders.
The complaint was registered with the Cyber Cell of the Patna Police.
"Some unknown persons have created a fake website using the Bihar BJP name and have been posting content defaming the party and its leaders," the complaint said.
The BJP's state media in-charge, Danish Iqbal, told PTI, "Strict action has been sought against those who are responsible. This is a serious offence." Police, however, were not available for comment.
