A video showing a man being bullied and beaten by three men inside a college campus in Bihar has gone viral on social media.
According to a report by NDTV, the incident took place at the MSKB College in Muzaffarpur, where three men used a stick and a belt to thrash the man. The victim's ordeal did not end there, as he was further forced to do sit-ups holding his ears. According to the victim's mother, he was also made to lick spit off the ground.
Though this incident occurred in front of a group of people, no one intervened to help him or even stop the men from attacking.
The video, which was reportedly filmed and shared online by the accused themselves, showed the man trying to defend himself against the three, before being overpowered.
The victim's family reportedly only came to know about the assault after the video went viral on social media.
When the victim's mother asked him about the incident, he revealed everything to her, saying that the trio threatened him at knifepoint and warned him that they would kill him if he spoke about the incident.
However, with the incident now coming to light, an FIR has been registered based on the mother's complaint. She also alleged that the trio stole Rs 2,000 from her son.
The incident reportedly took place on December 16 when the victim had gone to the Banaras Bank Chowk for household work—it was here that the accused confronted him and dragged him to the field, before assaulting and humiliating him.
A manhunt has been launched and police are currently searching for the accused.
