The BJP on Sunday questioned the “silence” of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi over the charge sheet filed by the CBI against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh in a disproportionate assets case.
Addressing a press conference here, BJP general secretary Bhupender Yadav demanded Singh’s resignation, accusing him of becoming a “symbol of corruption”.
“The Congress is going through a morality crisis. Why is it silent even after a court has rejected Singh’s plea to quash the FIR against him?” Yadav said. BJP youth wing activists took out a protest march at the Congress headquarters to press for Singh’s resignation.
