Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy lashed out at the BJP offering bribes to the JD(S) and Congress MLAs on Saturday. He was addressing the gathering at the Trinamool Congress' (TMC) mega opposition rally in Kolkata.

"BJP makes tall claims about fighting corruption. But they are offering money to MLAs in Karnataka," said Kumaraswamy.

The Karnataka Chief Minister also accused the centre of trying to put a spanner in the state government's efforts to waive farmers' loans. "While we are waiving farmers' loans banks are issuing notices to farmers," he said.

He further alleged that the government at the Centre was being headed by " undemocratic leaders." "The Centre is being headed by undemocratic leaders. It blind and deaf to the plight of the people. The federal system is also in crisis, said Kumaraswamy.
