A BJP's fact-finding team will visit areas of West Bengal, seized with violence due to objectionable social media post, and submit a report to party president Amit Shah.

The four members of the team -- OM Mathur, Kailash Vijayavargiya, Meenakshi Lekhi and Satyapal Singh -- will ascertain reason for flare up in areas including Basirhat of North-24 Parganas district. Since Sunday Basirhat and adjoining Baduria are witnessing violent protests after a class XI student posted derogatory images on his Facebook page.

Meanwhile, party general secretary in-charge of West Bengal Vijayavargiya and state unit chief Dilip Ghosh were reportedly accosted by demonstrators when they visited a government hospital to interact with relatives of what they claimed victim of communal riots.
