Prabhakar and his friends were watching the movie at their government-run school hostel when he suddenly collapsed, a police officer said. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The tragedy occurred at Marikavalasa in Visakhapatnam, about 600 km from the state capital.
Some Class X students had brought DVDs of Telugu horror films like “Atma Katha”, “Blood” and “Ghost” and were watching them with other students when Prabhakar collapsed.
The student’s parents, however, are suspicious about his death, police said, adding that investigations are on.
