Fire at a godown in Bykampady industrial area
Mangaluru: An accidental fire in a godown in Bykampady industrial area gutted body sprays, sanitizers and candles in the early hours of Tuesday.
C R Ranganath, regional fire officer, Mangaluru range told DH that the fire and emergency service received the call about fire at a godown of Primacy Industries Limited at 12:50 am.
Fire tenders from Kadri and Pandeshwara rushed to the spot. In addition, fire tenders from MCF and New Mangalore Port Authority to rushed to the spot too. After five hours, the flames were extinguished.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. According to preliminary investigation, the loss is around Rs 20 lakh.

The Guidelines shall be applicable to all the coaching institutes, whether online or physical and cover all forms of advertisement regardless of form, format or medium. The Guidelines prescribe conditions when an advertisement by a coaching institute shall be construed to be misleading advertisement as defined under the Consumer Protection Act 2019, which inter-alia include concealing important information related to the course opted by the successful candidates [courses opted by successful candidates (whether free or paid), duration of course etc.
