Karnataka Cong leader sexually assaults employee in spa, held
A Congress leader has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting his employee working in a spa here, police said on Sunday.
The Congress leader Manoj Karjagi grabbed her when she came to the spa on Saturday, said the police. The woman lodged a complaint based on which he was arrested and remanded in judicial custody, they said.
Karjagi was actively associated with the Congress party and was made director of the North West Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation when Siddaramaiah was the Chief Minister.

Typhoon Nanmadol made landfall on Japan's southwestern coast on Sunday evening, the country's weather agency said, as authorities urged millions to seek shelter from the powerful storm's rains and wind.

27 people killed in China bus crash
Twenty-seven people were killed in a bus crash in southwest China on Sunday, state media reported, in the country's deadliest road accident so far this year.
The crash took place on a highway in rural Guizhou province when the vehicle carrying 47 people in total "flipped onto its side," broadcaster CCTV said.

India's top oil and gas producer ONGC wants the government to scrap windfall profit tax levied on domestically produced crude oil and instead use the dividend route to tap into bumper earnings resulting from surge in global energy prices.
The firm also favours a floor price for natural gas at USD 10 per million British thermal unit -- the current government-dictated rate -- to help bring deposits in challenging areas to production, two sources aware of the matter said.
State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) management during discussions with government officials stated that levying windfall profit tax on domestic oil producers, while at the same time reaping rich savings from buying discounted oil from Russia was unfair.

Dharamshala all set to host conference of tourism ministers
Development of tourism infrastructure and sustainable tourism will be the focus of a national conference of tourism ministers from various states and Union Territories that is set to open on Sunday in Himachal Pradesh's Dharamshala.
Union Minister for Culture and Tourism G Kishan Reddy will chair the event which is slated to be inaugurated by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
The conference is being organised by the Ministry of Tourism from September 18-20 to discuss issues related to development of tourism in the country, officials said.
