The Border Security Force (BSF) has captured a Pakistani youth and five boats from various creeks off the Gujarat coast in Kutch district, which borders Pakistan, in ongoing operations over the last 48 hours.

The operation, involving 22 boats and 80 personnel, is expected to continue till Thursday night. The BSF is carrying out operation across Sir Creek, Lakhpatwari Creek, Pir Sinai creek and Pavebari Creek.

A total of five boats, with three mobile phones and 150 kg of fish have so far been confiscated by the paramilitary force.

The 17-year-old caught in the operation is said to be from the Sindh Province in Pakistan and was carrying two mobiles, while the third mobile was caught from a boat captured on Thursday evening.

The BSF had launched a similar operation in 2017 and caught 21 boats and nabbed five Pakistani fishermen.
