Budget Session Highlights: Rahul Gandhi meets Speaker Om Birla, seeks time to speak in Lok Sabha over ‘defamatory’ allegations

Both Houses of Indian Parliament have been adjourned till 11 am tomorrow. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi, who is at the centre of a controversy over his alleged defamatory remarks, arrived at the Parliament, asserting that he had not spoken ill of India in London. He further asserted that he would speak in the Parliament, if given a chance. In this regard, he even met Speaker Om Birla and sought a chance to put forth his point of view. Meanwhile, the BJP has maintained that Rahul Gandhi's statements are not in good taste and he must apologise to the nation.
