All opposition parties who are against BJP will meet in Delhi before the next Parliament session in December to chalk out the future course of action said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday after meeting with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the State Secretariat.
Emphasizing on opposition unity, Naidu also said that there is a “democratic compulsion” for which the opposition parties have to come together.
“We wanted to meet on November 22 earlier. But because of the upcoming elections, we will meet before the next Parliament session. Those who are opposing BJP will come together to chalk out a plan to move forward...A date will be announced very soon,” said Naidu.
Naidu alleged that almost every institution of the country is under severe pressure. “We are all watching for so many days that democracy is in danger. There is a democratic compulsion for which we have to come together. CBI, RBI, ED, Income Tax Department are all under pressure,” said Naidu.
He further alleged that there is “intolerance towards minorities” and even politicians are being threatened.
“ Even they (politicians) are being victimised. Because of this, we have to protect this great nation. It is our responsibility,” said Naidu.
Banerjee said that the “future course of action” was discussed at the meeting and the opposition parties will meet in December before the next Parliament session.
“We are totally together. We are working together. We are sticking together. We work against the BJP government to save the nation,” said Banerjee.
