In a recent incident, a differently abled man's body encased in cement, put in a suitcase within a steel trunk and dumped in a residential area, was found in Chhattisgarh's Raipur, a TOI report said.

Following the trail of the investigation, a married couple have been arrested at the Delhi airport, who, as per the officials, are suspected to be the masterminds behind the crime.

The publication quoting Raipur SSP Lal Umed Singh said that based on the preliminary interrogation, Ankit Upadhyay, a lawyer by profession and his wife are believed to be behind the murder of Kishore Paikra, over a land brokerage dispute.

CCTV footage from the area where the body was found led to the identification of Ankit , son of a retired ASI of Chhattisgarh police, and his wife, the report added.

Moreover, the report further mentioned that in the CCTV footage, a car could be seen entering Raipur's DD Nagar on Monday. Two men got out of the car and opened the boot to take out the trunk bearing the body, as seen in the footage.

Adding to this, in the footage, a woman, whose face was covered, was also seen following the car on a two-wheeler.

The officials, while conducting the investigation, learnt that the victim Paikra lived in Handipara's HMT Chowk and needed a wheelchair for mobility.

he was facing a land dispute issue as he had old a plot with Ankit's help in a village named Mohadi village for Rs 50 lakh; however received Rs 20 lakh less than the agreed price, the report added.

Paikra had threatened to file a police complaint against Ankit, the couple allegedly planned to get him killed.

Originally from Changorabhatha village, Ankit and his wife were brought to Raipur late on Tuesday, the report stated.
