A six-year-old boy died after e fell into an open drain carrying industrial waste in a village in Manesar Thursday evening, police said.
The incident took place after a spell of rain in the township.Local officials swung into action on being informed about the incident. The child was taken out and brought to a government hospital here but could not be saved despite all efforts made by the doctors.
The child had been identified as Sumit, son of Manoj Kumar, a migrant labourer.
The incident comes days after a four-year-old girl died after falling into a deep borewell in another village in Manesar.An inquiry has been ordered.
