The Coast Guard early on Wednesday rescued seven people from a tugboat off Porbandar coast caught in the Arabian Sea near the Gujarat coast.

According to the information available, seven fishermen aboard a tugboat – 'Jalraak' – were stuck mid-sea as the engine of their tugboat failed.

On receiving a distress call, the Coast Guard immediately sent in its attack ship 'Shoor' for rescue and using Advanced Light Helicopter 'Chetak' rescued seven people by lifting them amid strong winds from the high seas.
