The mercury recorded a minimum temperature of 6.5 degrees Celsius. Visibility was normal with no fog.

The low maximum temperature made the weather chilly.
“We were expecting the temperature to rise today (Tuesday). However, with a possibility of rain Jan 13 we are expecting the mercury to rise,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The expected drizzle is due to a western disturbance and will impact the north-west of the country.

The lack of fog ensured smooth air traffic.
