Bengaluru: College student, 3 friends arrested for theft to fund Goa trip

Bengaluru: The Kothanur police arrested a BCom student and three friends for allegedly stealing gold from her relative to fund a Goa trip.

The student, Sachita, was staying at her uncle’s house in Byrathi village for her studies. She stole the gold ornaments and handed them to Yashwanth, who passed them on to Tanush and Ramprakash. The gold was later melted into bullion.

The police recovered 548 gram of gold and Rs 10 lakh in cash. Further investigation is under way.
