Singh, who was here to attend a function, said his party does not believe in caste-based politics.
On the reported silence of Congress over attacks being made on Hindi and north Indians by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, he said the Centre and the Maharashtra government were preparing for appropriate action in this regard. Commenting on the increasing bitterness in relations of Mulayam Singh Yadav and former UP CM Kalyan Singh, he said Congress considered Kalyan responsible for Babri demolition since the beginning, which Mulayam realised late. The senior Congress leader also categorically denied to have any pact with either Mulayam Singh Yadav or Kalyan Singh for the next UP assembly elections.
