RJD chief Lalu Prasad's wife Rabri Devi and son Tejashwi Yadav on Friday got bail from a Delhi court in an Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) scam case.

The court granted bail to Rabri and Tejashwi on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh and one surety of the same amount and fixed October 6 as the next date of hearing. Special judge Arun Bhardwaj also issued a production warrant against Lalu in the case.

Lalu could not appear before the court as he is in a Jharkhand jail in another case. The court had earlier summoned and asked Lalu's family and others in the case to appear before the court in the case related to alleged irregularities in granting operational contract of two IRCTC hotels to a private firm.

According to the CBI, Lalu conspired with others to grant Sujata Hotel Pvt Ltd (SHPL) the control of BNR Hotels in Ranchi and Puri in 2006 by circumventing procedures and for a consideration of a three-acre prime plot in Patna, which could now fetch around Rs 94 crore.

The CBI claimed that the land that was given to a company was transferred to Tejashwi, former deputy chief minister of Bihar, and Rabri between 2010 and 2014 after Lalu exited from the railway ministry.

Besides Lalu and Tejashwi, the FIR has named Sarla, wife of RJD MP P C Gupta, and former IRCTC managing director P K Goel, SHPL directors Vijay and Vinay Kochhar, and LARA Projects LLP.
