A heartwarming Linkedin post by CEO of a start-up firm is likely to reopen debates about humanity, forgiveness and mankind.
Kiran Verma, the founder of Simply Blood, a virtual blood donation platform Verma shared a post on Linkedin about a hard working intern who worked under him years back.
In the post, Verma describes the young intern as “sincere, hardworking, honest, dedicated and extremely talented in his work.”
"I cheated a guy 9 years ago, and the young guy gave me a great lesson for life!," says Verma in his post.
Verma was candid while admitting that after he got the job done with his intern, he let him go with paying his due.
In full honesty, he disclosed that the intern reminded him of his payment on a daily basis, but that he never bothered to reply.
Verma was forced to reply when he got a message from the intern himself after several years.
"Today that young boy is a working professional and and I'm sure the amount would have meant not more than a dinner party for him today."
Verma apologised for his arrogance and admitted that it was a mistake from his part to ignore the intern's messages.
"I could have kept this as a secret but I think the world should know that I am also a human and I do make mistakes (sometimes blunders).
Verma also thanked the intern for not humiliating him in public
"I could only seek his apologies but this young man gave me more than his forgiveness. It was his greatness that he never humiliated me in public or was disrespectful."
Further, Verma says it is important to close every chapter on a good note without any room for animosity.
"He taught me a great lesson in life, that we all should be kind and honest with the people we work."
