Weddings are all about celebrations, lots of food and dance. People are seen grooving to the beats at weddings with full enthusiasm. However, in an incident that happened in New Delhi, the bride's father was furious when the groom danced to the Bollywood song 'Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai'.
As per a report by Navbharat Times, the groom was prompted by his friends to join them and dance. The groom couldn't resist dancing to the song and joined his friends, while the crowd cheered for him, according to the eyewitnesses.
However, this angered the bride's father who called it an "inappropriate display". He immediately called off the wedding and stopped the ceremony.
The groom's actions reportedly "insulted his family's values", he said, as reported by the publication.
Even after calling off the wedding, the bride's father made sure there is no contact between his daughter and the groom's family anymore, according to the sources.
The incident since then has gone viral on social media. A post on X shows the story in the newspaper, alongside an advertisement that read, "Free entertainment toh sabko acha lagta hai," which caught the attention of netizens. The caption read, "funniest ad placement I’ve seen till date."
The X post has over 340k views and a flurry of comments.
"Must have practiced for his wedding. All wasted," a user commented.
Another user commented, "Now Groom Have Phobia Toward Music."
"Ad placement better than Song placement of wedding," a third user commented.
"The groom chose to step in, and the bride's father chose to step out," commented a fifth.
"Groom tried to play games, but the bride's father changed the rules," another user commented.
'Choli ke peeche kya hai' is a song from the 1993 film Khal Nayak. The Bollywood number features actress Madhuri Dixit.
